About Our Egg Donors There are two types of egg donors, anonymous and non-anonymous. A non-anonymous egg donor is generally a friend or relative of the recipient brought into our program by the recipient. An egg donor can also become non-anonymous if a couple requests a meeting with the donor. However, the majority of our recipients desire an anonymous donor provided to them by our program. Our Egg Donors are between the ages of 19-30 years old. Acceptable donors may be single or married, some have either had pregnancies or even been a previous donor, they may be students or working, but they all must have clean medical and psychological backgrounds and have other attractive qualifications. Every potential donor fills out a detailed questionnaire which contains extensive information on their medical and psychological histories, physical characteristics of both themselves and their family, their motivation to becoming an egg donor, educational background, and their personal habits and interests. When selecting suitable egg donor candidates, Reproductive Solutions looks for three main characteristics: healthy medical background, no genetic abnormalities, and psychological stability. After reviewing the application and photo, the potential donor will then be personally interviewed by the director, Mirna Navas. Mirna will review their application with them and fully explain their responsibilities including what is involved with the injections, the medication and their possible side effects, the time commitment, the office visits, the retrieval process and if necessary travel availability. Once the recipient has had a chance to consult with Mirna Navas and has selected a donor, we will help you and your donor complete the required steps which will allow you to move forward. You will now need to fulfill the following two obligations: legal and financial. Updated October 2006 Questions regarding website contact Designs-OnLine.net or e-mail: info@Designs-OnLine.net |
